Brant Point Grill is one of my favorite restaurants on Nantucket. I dined there previously with my Mother, best friend, and her mother. Everything from the ambiance to the service was top-notch. I'll be completely honest, we had quite a bit of trouble finding a restaurant when we started looking. Well, not so much "finding" a restaurant, but so many of the restaurants either required a complete buyout or just straight up wouldn't answer our emails or calls. We reached out well over a year in advance and the most shocking response we received was "Well, we don't know what business will look like then, so I guess just try us again in a few months." I understand COVID put everyone in a tailspin but we were really put off by that response. My husband reached out to Brant Point Grill and they responded nearly immediately with lots of menu options to choose from.
The waterfront coastal chic vibe of Brant Point Grill is everything we were looking for. Elevated, yet comfortable at the same time. We had half of the deck for our party of 30. It was enclosed by a clear tent and had heaters because Nantucket nights can be chilly. We lucked out with near-perfect weather.

I'm so grateful we were able to shoot some photos during the cocktail hour with our fabulous photographer, Kaylee Creighton. Kaylee is a personal friend of mine, who I met through blogging. As soon as we were engaged and had a date, I reached out to her and booked her asap. For those of you who aren't familiar with our love story - Andre and I did long distance for about 2 years. I moved out to California after getting engaged. We got engaged 2 weeks before COVID, and I moved in April. Needless to say, with Kaylee being based in Indiana.. we didn't get a chance to schedule an engagement shoot. Engagement shoots are so important and highly recommended to give you and your fiance an opportunity to get comfortable with your photographer and learn to pose. Kaylee was professional and FAST - which we both appreciated.

Our guests enjoyed passed appetizers and cocktails while we took some photos. The service was flawless. For dinner, I ordered the poached halibut. It was delicious! I had the pleasure of sitting next to my flower girl, and she had the chicken fingers. I cannot lie... the chicken fingers were so, SO good. I may or may not have ordered chicken fingers from Brant Grill twice in the following week. Best chicken fingers on island for sure.

Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic rehearsal dinner at White Elephant. We ended up staying there after our wedding for a few days. The service is beyond any other hospitality I've ever experienced. The staff was always on their A-game. We returned twice after our wedding to enjoy dinner over again.
